Communication is indeed important. However, there is a time where it is not needed. Not the awkward ones, but the comfortable ones. For guys staying with each other is normal to be non-communicative. But guess, these days, this situation can be applied to gals too.
I stay with my house mate but we rarely talk. Not that we are not close. We ARE close. When we are at home, we will do our own stuff like reading books or magz, web surfing, postcrossing, listening to our own fav songs and etc.
There is this one point in life where we feel like minimizing our communication to almost Zero. Sometimes it might be rather hard for both parties to comprehend. But as time goes by, we learned to enjoy it. It is the time where we could simply lying around, daydreaming, mess-ing up our bedroom, do some doodling, wrap presents, or even watch TV series and fall asleep. Minimizing communication gives us the feeling of anticipation at the end of the day to share each other’s story (u have a lot more to share).
Conclusion: Best friends even couples do not have to talk all the time. They love and care each other. Such an irony, but life’s like that. ^_^
